James seems to grow noticeably every day. It’s just amazing as any parent knows. This morning, his head and hands look bigger than they were yesterday.
James can now pretty much hold up his head by himself. He sometimes smiles his beautiful smile (complete with dimples) and sometimes chatters away as well. He also has a cute cooing sound he repeats on occasion. However, he always stops any of these things when the camera comes out and he stares at the camera with a questioning look. Good thing he’s not paranoid ;-)
I promised some James stories from a while back. Well, here’s one that is pretty funny. Baby boys are known for the “little firehose” that can get you when changing their diapers. He has peed on himself (and Sharon) a number of times. Once when James was only a week or two old I was changing his diaper when he suddenly unleashed a torrent of pee which missed me, but sprayed James right in the face! The poor little guy opened his eyes wide and looked at me - pee running down his face - with a “what the hell just happened” expression. It was absolutely hilarious! Though James didn’t think so.
Another time I noticed James had a drop of liquid on the tip of his nose. I asked Sharon why he had liquid on his nose and she informed me that he peed all over himself again. She just hadn’t seen that final drop. And of course James had no idea it was there either. So we wiped it off. I sometimes still picture holding him and seeing this sweet little boy with a tiny drop on the tip of his nose.
