Yesterday we brought our two year old son to Pumpkin Town at Paul’s & Sandy’s in East Hampton, CT. By the looks of it, they have made the annual pumpkin buying experience more fun for the family and more profitable for themselves - a true win-win.
After spending some time playing in Pumpkin Town, we decided to buy our pumpkin and grab some tasty autumn snacks before heading home. As we were enjoying our treats, another family sat down at an adjacent picnic table. While situating herself at the table, a three or four year old girl spilled her full cup of cider all over the table and herself. Within seconds, one of the young ladies working the food counter came over with a roll of paper towels and wiped the spilled beverage off the little girl’s clothes - even before the girl’s parents could grab napkins to clean up the mess.
That young lady could have completely ignored the incident or even wait until asked before helping. But she didn’t. She proactively took action. She didn’t have to, but she did. I’ll bet that family won’t forget, and I know I won’t. What an example of amazing customer service.
